Direct the Union- Share your ideas

Got an idea about how your Union could change? Want to improve your University? Or make a positive impact on the local community? Submit your ideas for students to vote on.

Any student can submit an idea to be put forward to the Senate. These could be:

  • Ways we could improve your University or Union experience, no matter how big or small.
  • Any issues or campaigns or stances you believe the Union should champion

Shape what we do, what we debate and what we campaign on

Any registered student at Manchester can submit an idea about what they think the Union should work on or that the Union should believe. This idea will then have the opportunity to go to the Senate where students will vote to decide whether or not it is something that they think the Students' Union should support.

Ideas/ Policy

Any registered student at Manchester can submit an idea about what they think the Union should work on or that the Union should believe. This idea will then have the opportunity to go to the Senate where students will vote to decide whether or not it is something that they think the Students' Union should support.

For example, the Students' Union supports and campaigns to protect the National Health Service because this is a policy that was proposed and passed by students at Senate.
