Women Students Campaign

The Women’s Campaign supports and represents all women (including those who self-define as women) and non-binary students, who identify all or part of the time as women, at the University of Manchester. We work to eliminate all forms of discrimination faced by women in the University, at an institutional, social and cultural level.

What we do:

The Women’s Campaign provides a space for discussion around a broad array of issues that affect women in general, it is a space for women to campaign for change on these issues through the Women’s Committee.

The Women Students' Campaign is also a social space and a space for relevant student-led creative projects and events.

Our biggest event of the year is the Reclaim the Night Campaign, which is a campaign for safer streets at night.

There are 3 elected Women’s Officers:

  • Chenze Ma, the Women’s Executive officer (womens.su@manchester.ac.uk)
  • Alanah O'Byrne (alanah.obyrne@student.manchester.ac.uk)
  • Aasia Majid (aasia.majid@student.manchester.ac.uk)
