To Whomever Affected by the Virus,

 

We are the Devil’s Advocates Society, and no, we have nothing to do with the devil, we are a debating society that has been bringing people together for the past two years. 

 

In our sessions, we like to argue for and against some of the most controversial issues of our time, most recently we have debated about whether we live in a simulation, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the pros and cons of veganism.  We welcome, with open arms, opposing ideas to that of ours, and in our sessions encourage you to take the side opposite of the viewpoint that you hold.  This has led to some heated and energetic debates that challenge you to question your most basic beliefs as well as improve your public speaking and presentation skills.  As a result, we have seen the formation of some unlikely friendships, which shows that people are more than just the locus of the ideas they hold.

 

As it happens, we cannot hold meetings in person. However, bridging the divide is what we stand for and without talking to others we cannot possibly achieve that.  So, if you are interested in having a conversation about a topic you are passionate about, if you want to experience being challenged on your most fundamental views, or if you just want to kill some time during this isolation period, join the Devil's Advocates Live's online debating sessions, every Monday and Thursday 6:30 to 8:30 PM.

1. Do you trust the government's judgement in handling the situation?
2. Is stockpiling non-perishable food a reasonable move in these times?
3. Is it fair to fully blame the Chinese government for the pandemic?
