Common Room Spaces

During Welcome Week 2015, in the Students’ Union Outhouse (where the old RBS bank used to be), we created a dedicated space for students living off campus called the 'Home Away From Home'.

We will be bringing back the Home Away from Home for 2016, this time in the Students' Union Building Room 8! The space will be a place for you to relax and enjoy some free tea, coffee and cake, away from the hustle and bustle of Welcome Fair. They’ll be lots of comfy sofas and some activities for you to try.

It’s a place for you to meet with other students who don’t live in Halls and meet members of the Living at Home Society and learn about their plans for the next year.

If you’d like more information or would like to lend a hand to decorate the space to make it feel like home, please get in touch with Off-Campus Students Project Coordinator Miriam Amies

We have a map of where all the microwaves are located around campus! Find the map here.

We now have a map of all your common room spaces on campus as well as computer clusters and more!! Find it here
