Gender, Sex and Sport: Talk by Ted Coward

From “kicking homophobia out of football” to rainbow laces, most of us will be aware of LGBT+ activism in sport, but these campaigns often neglect some of the most marginalised among us.

Ted Coward, from Durham University LGBT+ Association and NUS LGBT+ committee, will be talking about the issues that trans, non binary and intersex athletes face both within and outside of a university context. Ted's talk will be followed by a discussion about some of the pressing issues LGBT+ athletes face today and what we can do going forward.

The event will take place in Room 2.5 of the Students' Union, which is located on the 2nd floor. This is a seated event.

The building has an access ramp and a lift. If you have any access requirements that you would like to communicate before the event please contact Virginie: virginie.assal@manchester.ac.uk
