New year, new wardrobe! This event will be a chance for the transgender and nonbinary community of Manchester to help each other wear the clothes they want to wear whilst reinventing their wardrobe!
As this is a clothes SWAP, not a sale, all transactions between trans and nonbinary people will be FREE. Cisgender people will be able to take part in the swap by providing clothes. You may also be able to purchase items for a small donation to Books Beyond Bars, a Manchester based charity that sends books to queer prisoners.
Why do cis people have to pay?
The purpose of this event is to allow trans and nonbinary people to acquire the gender-affirming clothes they need without the usual boundaries of binary clothing shops, restrictive parents or financial issues. If you are not trans and see something you really, really want, all that we ask is that you give a donation.
The event will take place in room 1.5 of the Students' Union, which is located on the first floor. Seats will be available on demand.
The building has an access ramp and a lift. If you have any access requirements that you would like to communicate before the event please contact Virginie: virginie.assal@manchester.ac.uk
