Intro to the Women’s Campaign

There’s a little bit of everything going on in the Women’s Campaign. It’s the home for all Students’ Union events, societies, volunteering opportunities and campaigns that focus on women’s issues.

Intro to the Women’s Officer

The Women’s Officer is one of eight elected Exec Team members at the Students’ Union. Your Women’s Officer is here to direct the Union’s work on inclusion, representation and welfare, act as a figurehead for the Women’s Campaign, work with external bodies to promote women’s liberation and facilitate campaigns on women’s issues. There are also two other part time Women's Officers who help lead the women's campaign.

Women's Officer: Sara Heddi - sara.heddi@manchester.ac.uk

Part-time Women's Officers:

Emma Jenkins and Safiyya El Diwany

Reclaim the Night

Now in its tenth year, Reclaim the Night is a fun, lively march to demonstrate for the right to walk the streets at night without fear of sexual violence, street harassment and assault. To find out more, click here

Volunteering

Give your time, meet new people and be the change. This year we’re developing a women’s volunteering strand, so you’ll have even more of an opportunity to get involved with Women’s Campaign and give your time to women’s causes.

Get Involved

There are loads of opportunities to get involved with the women’s campaign, from socials and volunteering, to campaigning and running for election. To find out more you can:
