Access all areas

Access All Areas is the newest volunteering arm of the Students' Union, bringing together a range of student-led educational volunteer projects in the local community. All of our projects have the same aim - to improve access and widen participation in education.

We have both one-off and volunteering opportunities that run throughout the year.

We lead workshops in local primary schools, run educational outreach projects and mentoring schemes in the community. So if you're passionate about access, and looking to volunteer or set up your own project, come and get involved! or


We have a number of projects that work with children aged 5-11 years old in primary schools.

This includes our incredibly successful Reading Mentor’s project which increases the confidence of young readers.

We also work alongside STEMSoc to run a Coding Club to introduce coding to local youngsters.
We have a number of projects that work with Teenagers aged 11-16 years old in Secondary/ High schools

Medics Outreach Manchester (MOMS) invite Year 12s get the chance to experience life as a medical student and gain a valuable experience to enhance their application.
