The ‘Hive’ is our exciting new area situated on the 1^st floor where you can meet up with friends, catch up with Uni work or simply relax and eat your lunch.  We have a kitchen area with microwaves where you can heat up your food and use the tea and coffee making facilities.  Alternatively, if you want to grab a drink or snack on the go we have a couple of vending machines selling tea and coffee along with a selection of crisps and chocolate bars.

The Hive is made up of several fun spaces all of which you can reserve for your society/group to have a catch up.  The bookable areas are the House/Hut, Garden, Beanbag space, Campfire and an Island complete with deckchairs and a palm tree!

All of these spaces along with rooms in the Students’ Union can be booked with a member of our Student staff who is located in this area.

Every weekday, we also hold Drop In Sessions taking place on Mondays and Wednesdays where you can call in and meet your Society co-ordinators, members of the Volunteering/Fundraising team or discuss a forthcoming event with the Events team.  Drop In sessions are held between 2pm-4pm.  The Halls Drop in session is Thursday 10am-1pm.   DBS checks are also available every Wednesday 2pm-4pm.  Check the electronic screens in the ‘Hive’ and Foyer for further information.
