We have a huge variety of religious, cultural, political, academic, arts, media, performance, sports and recreational societies, so there's something for everyone at Manchester. We're the Student Communities Team here at the Students' Union. Our job is to ensure that whether you're living in halls or at home, a mature student, carer or parent, we provide you with the best possible support to make your transition to life at university as smooth as possible.
So whether you want to take the lead on planning events in your halls, or just meet like-minded students here in Manchester, there are plenty of opportunities here in the Students' Union.
Here at the Students’ Union, we have three popular and nationally reputable Student Media outlets, The Mancunion, Fuse FM, and Fuse TV. All three are based in the Activities Space on the first floor of the Union, and are always looking for new volunteers, whether you have prior experience or not. Whether you want to go into the media industry, as many of our previous members have done, or just get involved in a creative and fun activity, Student Media is an unmissable opportunity.
