March With Us!

March Overview:

Where: Assemble at Owens Park Quad

When: Thursday 20th February 6:30pm / Set off 7pm

Route: We will be marching down Oxford Road and rallying at the Beer Garden at Manchester Students’ Union

If you have any access requirements that you would like to communicate with the Reclaim the Night team regarding the march, the rally and/or the after-party, please contact us at campaigns.su@manchester.ac.uk.

There will be a team on the night wearing purple hi-vis that will be able to assist you with any access requirements. If you can’t find them, speak to any of our stewards wearing hi-vis who can contact them for you.

There is an accessible toilet at the start and end of the march. There will also be limited seating available at the rally, if you require a seat, please contact us. A British sign language interpreter will also be present at the rally.

That more street lighting is installed in residential areas, which is proven to reduce crime.

That Greater Manchester authorities recognise misogyny as a hate crime before 2021.

Better education on consent and sexual violence for all students at all levels of study.

That night time economy venues be trained by the Good Night Out initiative so that they are more readily equipped to deal with instances of sexual harassment and discrimination.
